Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic is ready to say yes to the mega money offer of Al-Nassr as he inches towards the exit door.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the 30-year-old is ready to make the move away as Inter prepare to sign Sassuolo’s Davide Frattesi to replace him.
To the player, the Saudi Pro League giants are putting forward around €15 million per season. This would more than double what the player earns at Inter.
According to the Gazzetta, Brozovic is prepared to accept this offer. In the meantime, Barcelona can offer Brozovic €7 million net per season as they haven’t given up their chase.
However, the Blaugranas’ offer isn’t close to that of Al-Nassr. Therefore, the Saudi club now look to be in the driver’s seat.
If Al-Nassr’s financial offer is enough for Brozovic, it is not yet for Inter.
According to the Gazzetta, the Saudi team have offered the Nerazzurri €18 million. This is creeping up towards Inter’s asking price of €25 million, but the Nerazzurri still expect an increased offer.
Only a few months ago Brozovic being sold would’ve seemed unthinkable. However, the midfielder’s situation at Inter has changed.
The Croat has missed long spells with injuries in the season just gone. Whilst he was out, Hakan Calhanoglu has emerged as a starting-quality option in his position.
Moreover, a rift has reportedly formed between Brozovic and Inter. Management of the midfielder’s injuries are reportedly central to the reason for this.
As such, Inter would be ready to cash in on Brozovic. However, only for a fee of a certain size, which they plan to reinvest.
The Gazzetta report that, as soon as Inter accept an offer for Brozovic, they would move for his replacement.
Inter have been pushing to sign Sassuolo and Italy star Davide Frattesi in the last couple weeks.
Everything is in place for the Nerazzurri to get a deal done. They have agreed a deal with the Neroverdi to sign Frattesi on loan with a €30 million purchase obligation, plus striker Samuele Mulattieri going the other way.
Once Inter receive a fee for Brozovic from Al-Nassr, they will immediately look to close on a deal for Frattesi.
