Cristiano Ronaldo is the first footballer in history to score 700 club goals at professional level.
The Manchester United superstar has been waiting a while to reach the record-breaking milestone, but finally got the job done against Everton.
Ronaldo scored the Red Devils’ winner in a crucial 2-1 victory at Goodison Park, his first Premier League goal of the 2022/23 season.
Reaching 700 goals at club level is one of the greatest achievements ever witnessed in sport, of that there can be no doubt.
And Ronaldo's latest incredible feat got us thinking; what are some other crazy scoring records in football?
Well, we've done some digging and cherry-picked 11 that we think will stand the test of time.
Check them out...
Messi's goal-filled year in 2012 with Barcelona and Argentina may never be equalled. The seven-time Ballon d'Or winner was averaging a goal every four days over the course of an entire year, which is quite frankly mind-boggling.
According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the Brazilian icon scored a whopping 92 hat-tricks during his time as a professional, which is over 30 more than both Ronaldo and Messi. Pele is also the youngest player to score a hat-trick at a World Cup, achieving the feat as a 17-year-old in 1958.
Yeah, it's him again. Messi surpassed Pele's goal total with Santos back in December of 2020 when he scored in a comfortable 3-0 win for Barcelona away at Real Valladolid. Will his haul ever be bettered? Well, it may do if Erling Haaland stays at Manchester City for the rest of his career...
There are some attack-minded players who fail to reach 131 career goals, but Ceni somehow reached that total as a goalkeeper. The set-piece specialist's record is one that will likely remain intact for decades - if not centuries - to come.
Ronaldo holds the record for most goals in men's international football with 117, however, even the great man won't come close to matching Sinclair. Despite debuting for Canada way back in 2000, Sinclair is still going strong and she may even reach 200 goals in the not too distant future.
Scoring a hat-trick in nine minutes would be an outrageous feat, but five goals?! Yeah, that's just a different level of extraordinary. Pep Guardiola brought Lewandowski on at half-time when Bayern Munich were trailing 1-0 to Wolfsburg and the striker certainly made his presence felt. Guardiola's touchline reaction remains one of football's great memes.
Sanchez, who scored goals for fun with Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and the Mexican national side, well and truly mastered the art of the bicycle kick. Hitting double figures in the acrobatic department at professional level shouldn't really be possible, should it?
Sergio Ramos famously scored over 100 goals for Real Madrid, but his record pales in comparison to that of Koeman. The Barcelona icon's total is worthy of a top-quality striker and he scored 10 or more goals in 10 consecutive league seasons. Good luck to any current defender trying to equal that...
Ah the free-kick extraordinaire, Juninho. Whenever Lyon were awarded a free-kick in the Brazilian's pomp, it was essentially the equivalent of a penalty. His gravity-defying effort against Barcelona is without question one of the greatest free-kick goals of the 21st century.
Torres is the only player to score in seven different competitions over the course of a season. With Chelsea in 2012/13, he rippled the back of the net in the Premier League, Champions League, Europa League, FA Cup, League Cup, Community Shield and FIFA World Club Cup. Not bad, Fernando.
Pano, the son of famous Albanian footballer Panajot Pano, was absolutely lethal from the penalty spot. The midfielder - who was capped nine times by his country - never failed to score from 12 yards in 50 attempts.
