Cristiano Ronaldo may be having the worst start to a LaLiga season ever, but that doesn’t stop him from smashing the charts in the Champions League.
That’s right, not all is lost for football’s living legend.
Ronaldo is top goalscorer in Europe’s biggest tournament so far this season with six goals under his belt already – and we’re only in the Group Stage.
With his six goals, the 32-year-old star striker is just one ahead of Tottenham’s Harry Kane who boasts five goals (and two assists to Ronaldo’s none).
The two of them are followed by third-place sharers Neymar, Mohamed Salah from Liverpool and Cenk Tosun of Beşiktaş, all on four goals and at least one assist each.
And let’s not forget that after all, Ronaldo still remains Champions League’s all-time top goalscorer, and noone (not even Lionel Messi) will take that away from him in the coming weeks.
Let’s see if he adds more strikes to his tally during Real Madrid’s trip to Cyprus for the club’s Champions League clash against APOEL on Tuesday evening.
