Portugal’s brilliant attempt at The Mannequin Challenge has gone viral on social media once again and it will always be gold.
The Mannequin Challenge was a viral Internet video trend which became popular in November 2016.
It consisted of people striking a pose and staying motionless while a moving camera films them.
It swept the internet and many high profile sporting figures got involved – including the Portuguese national team.
The Portuguese national team, who had recently been crowned Euro 2016 champions, decided to give it a go in their dressing room.
The likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Joao Cancelo, Bernardo Silva and Luis Nani all got involved.
And they managed to produce one of the best Mannequin Challenge attempts by a sports team. View it below…
In typical fashion, Ronaldo took centre stage. Never shy of the camera, Ronaldo showed off his incredible physique as he stood topless in the middle of the changing room.
Elsewhere, William Carvalho and Silva could be seen taking a selfie and Cancelo was sitting down with his arms crossed.
Nelson Semedo could be seen pointing at Renato Sanches, Luis Nani was on the phone, Gelson Martins was sitting down with his headphones on and Danilo Pereira was sitting standing up and pointing at the camera.
All of the players and staff nailed it. None could be seen moving, even in the slightest.
Portugal’s national team weren’t the only national team to get in on the internet craze.
England did their best impression of the challenge in a match against Spain at Wembley.
Jamie Vardy hit the back of the net to make it 2-0 to the home side and celebrated by standing their motionless. The likes of Theo Walcott and Raheem Sterling also got involved.
Good times. Bring The Mannequin Challenge back, we say.
