Cristiano Ronaldo’s disappointing season so far won’t stop him from receiving a healthy wage boost.
Though the Portuguese has managed just eight goals in 16 LaLiga appearances, Real Madrid are finally set to offer him more than his current €21m salary.
According to Marca, Real Madrid’s all-time top goalscorer will be offered a new deal which would see him bumped up to €30m-per-year – in line with the wages Neymar is paid by Paris Saint-Germain.
There have been rumours linking Ronaldo with a move away from the Bernabéu and he was reportedly unhappy in the summer.
With the forward about to turn 33, few suitors would be willing or able to pay his wages but Real Madrid don’t seem to be happy to move him on just yet.
