When was Ronaldo unveiled at Al-Nassr?

There were exciting scenes in Riyadh as Ronaldo was unveiled at Mrsool Park, which boasts a capacity of 25,000, on Tuesday afternoon.

The former Real Madrid and Juventus man could be seen taking to the pitch with his family, trying out the yellow and blue jersey that we’ll have to get used to seeing him wearing over the coming years.

How did Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr training session go?

With fans able to watch the man himself in action, who joins the likes of Luiz Gustavo and David Ospina in the Al-Nassr dressing room, there was inevitably plenty of mobile phone footage that made it onto social media.

And it could hardly have been clearer during a shooting drill that Ronaldo had one eye on giving the supporters a real show, dishing out some of the skills for which he’s famous the world over.

In footage shared by ESPN to the tune of more than 2.5 million views, Ronaldo can be seen smashing home four goals in Al-Nassr training, but it’s the style of the finishes that truly delighted the onlookers.

It remains to be seen whether the Ronaldo we know and love will be the Ronaldo that we see in action for Al-Nassr.

In the less intense setting of the Saudi Pro League, will the 37-year-old divert away from efficiency and channel the playfulness of his early United days in exactly the manner he seemed to during that Al-Nassr shooting drill?

Depending on your standpoint, it would either be a great shame or a real delight to see Ronaldo dropping the handbrake a little bit and really indulging in the showboating side of his game out in the Middle East.
