Former Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo has been hit with a two-match ban in English domestic competitions by the FA.
The 37-year-old, who has been fined £50,000 and warned over his future conduct, has been punished after he admitted his behaviour had been improper.
The charge relates to an incident that took place after the Premier League game between United and Everton on April 9.
A video taken by a fan appeared to show Ronaldo smashing another supporter’s phone after leaving the pitch following the 1-0 defeat.
The Portuguese international had his Manchester United contract mutually terminated on Tuesday meaning this ban will come into action if he was to join another Premier League club.
