According to The Metro, Cristiano Ronaldo appears to be keeping tabs on Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes.
The Juventus star spent a number of years at United, where he won the biggest trophies in club football. Despite leaving the club over a decade ago, he appears to have kept an eye on our results.
More so since United’s arguably best player today is his international teammate Fernandes.
The midfielder joined United last January and immediately hit the ground running. His brace yesterday showed once again the key role he plays in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.
Ronaldo liked a post made by Fernandes on Instagram after the match. The image showed the United star celebrating after setting us on course for a comfortable win.
Fernandes consulted with Ronaldo before joining United in January. He also went on to add that the sporting legend continues to keep tabs on his former club.
Ronaldo was linked with a return to United. However, that appears to be far fetched.
The goals took Fernandes’ tally to nine goals for the season. He is now the club’s top scorer this campaign.(h/t BBC)
Fernandes has now scored five goals in our last three games. He will hope to keep the run going when we face Southampton this weekend.
