The Portuguese icon made the controversial switch to Saudi Arabia after the World Cup, with the star clearly looking for a new lease of life following a difficult period at Old Trafford.

Adored by the masses, the media has tracked his every move now plying his trade outside European football and in doing so, have seen a rejuvenated Ronaldo return towards something close to his best.

Having already opened his account with his new club, last week Ronaldo took things to the next level by smashing home four goals as his side dismantled Al-Wehda 4-0 in the Saudi Pro League.

It's great to see Ronaldo enjoying his football again as his new club pursues glory in the Saudi Pro League.

Whilst he's now out of the spotlight of the European game at the age of 37, it's testament to just how special a character he is that the world continues to follow his every move despite being in a much smaller league.

We've seen the likes of Andres Iniesta, a true hero in his own right, depart for Asia and get nothing like the attention Ronaldo continues to get.
