Cristiano Ronaldo opts for Kylian Mbappé over legendary ex-Real Madrid teammate | OneFootball

Real Madrid icon Cristiano Ronaldo has on Sunday turned heads across the fanbase of Los Blancos.

This comes after the Portuguese was asked for his preference between a long-time Real teammate, and a current member of Carlo Ancelotti’s ranks.

Ronaldo for his part today sat down for an interview with another of his one-time teammates, in Rio Ferdinand.

During the discussion between the pair, the veteran frontman was drawn on a whole host of interesting topics, regarding his career, future targets, and more.

As alluded to above, though, one particular response provided by Ronaldo has since turned heads more than any other.

This comes after the 39-year-old was asked to choose between French icons Karim Benzema, and Kylian Mbappé.

The assumption on the part of most would no doubt have been that Ronaldo would opt for the former, after the pair shared a wonderful long-term partnership in the final third in Spain’s capital.

The Portuguese international, however, showed little hesitation in responding with:

“Mbappé”
