Globe Soccer Awards have named Cristiano Ronaldo as the Player of the Century on Sunday.
The annual ceremony is being held virtually from Dubai this year, with Real Madrid earlier named the Club of the Century in one of the many other prestigious awards being handed out this evening.
Ronaldo beat off competition for the likes of Lionel Messi, KakĂĄ and his former manager Zinedine Zidane to come away with the prize with 33% of the vote.
It concerns the past two decades from 2001 until 2020.
During that time, the 35-year-old has won five Champions Leagues, three Premier League titles, two LaLigas, Serie A twice, the European Championships as well as the Ballon dâOr on five occasions.
