Villa went into the game as heavy underdogs for the game at Old Trafford.

But they were able to walk away with all three points after a dramatic end to the match.

Dean Smith's side took the lead in the 88th minute through Kortney Hause.

The 26-year-old managed to break the deadlock with a fine header from a corner.

The Red Devils looked as if they would draw level in stoppage-time when they were awarded a penalty.

Hause, just minutes after his goal, was penalised for a handball inside the box.

But Bruno Fernandes blazed his effort over the bar to give Villa a brilliant three points.

Villa fans were loving their victory and they took the opportunity to mock United and Cristiano Ronaldo after the game.

The travelling away fans formed a circle outside Old Trafford and took turns to do Ronaldo's iconic 'Siuuu' celebration.

United suffered their first defeat of the Premier League season on Saturday and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was not happy after the game.

The Norwegian complained in his post-match interview that Villa's goal should not have stood.

"You can see the inconsistency again, VAR and decision-making," he said, per the Daily Mail.

"Watkins is clearly standing on or touching David as the header has gone in so it's a foul or he is offside. The linesman did his job he called it into VAR but they turned the decision down and it is a goal unfortunately, so bad decisions again."
