Just being linked with the Portuguese superstar has already caused business to boom for the Bianconeri.

Since the start of this week, the value of the Serie A champions’ shares has risen by almost 10% and should Ronaldo rock up in Turin, that number is likely to increase.

How much is CR7 worth?

Every top footballer earns additional income from sponsorships but Ronaldo is his own cottage industry, perhaps matched only by tennis giant Roger Federer.

According to Forbes, between 1 June 2017 and 1 June 2018, Ronaldo earned $81.7m – almost half of which came from sponsorship deals.

The 33-year-old’s most lucrative contract is with sportswear manufacturer Nike, from whom he earns an eye-watering $30m-a-year.

But the Real Madrid forward also benefits from his association with brands such as Armani, Tag Heuer, Samsung, Herbalife and American Tourister.

Not bad, eh?
