Cristiano Ronaldo‘s bombshell interview with Piers Morgan is currently the biggest sports-related story in the world.

Despite the fact we’re now less than a week away from the start of the Qatar World Cup, the Portuguese superstar’s 90-minute chat with Morgan about Manchester United is undoubtedly the centre of attention.

And the full interview hasn’t even been released yet. It will be a two-part show, which will air on TalkTV on Wednesday and Thursday evening.

Last Sunday, we got our first taste of Ronaldo’s sit down session with Morgan and unsurprisingly, the various snippets nearly broke the internet.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner said he feels “betrayed” by United, while also claiming he “doesn’t respect” current manager Erik ten Hag.

Ralf Rangnick and Wayne Rooney were also called out by Ronaldo in the first act.

Just after 8pm UK time, the footage went live and in it, the United man claimed that some of those in power didn’t believe him about his daughter, Bella, being ill with bronchitis, which is the reason why he missed the vast majority of the team’s pre-season campaign.

What did Ronaldo say in new clip from Morgan interview?

Ronaldo said, per Sky Sports: “I spoke with the director and the president of Man Utd and they kind of didn’t believe that something was going wrong, which made me feel bad.”

When asked by Morgan to confirm the claim they didn’t believe him about the health of his family, Ronaldo continued: “They believe me but in the same way [shakes head]… I am never going to change the health of my family for football. Now, or 10 years behind or forward.

“And it is something that really hurt me because they doubted my word that I was struggling, especially Bella and Gio [Georgina Rodriguez, who is Ronaldo’s girlfriend].

“We had one week in hospital because Bella had a big problem and I didn’t go to the pre-season because of that.

“I didn’t want to leave my family to do the pre-season because I didn’t think it was fair to leave my family for a pre-season. This is why I didn’t go.”
