Cristiano Ronaldo has now equalled the all-time record for men’s international caps.
Ronaldo started on the bench as Portugal took on Morocco in Saturday’s World Cup quarter-final, but the 37-year-old came on with his side trailing 1-0 in the second half to earn his 196th senior cap.
That appearance moved him ahead of Malaysia’s Soh Chin Ann on the all-time caps list, and level with Kuwait’s Bader Al-Mutawa.
An incredible achievement, and it will be interesting to see how many more caps he can notch up in what’s left of his career.
