Cristiano Ronaldo has claimed that the Saudi Pro League is ‘much better’ than the Major League Soccer in a recent interview.

The forward’s comments have come just a day after his greatest rival Lionel Messi was unveiled as a new Inter Miami player.

The World Cup winner was presented with his new club shirt during Sunday’s unveiling ceremony after he opted to join the MLS outfit in a highly lucrative deal earlier this summer.

Ronaldo mutually terminated his Manchester United contract to join Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Nassr in January.

Several other high-profile players, including Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kante and Kalidou Koulibaly, have since followed the Portuguese star to the Saudi League.

“The Saudi League is better than the MLS,” Ronaldo said (as per Diario Ole).

“I’m 100 percent sure I won’t return to any European club. I opened the way to the Saudi League and now all the players are coming here.”

The Saudi League clubs have been ambitious in this transfer window.

They have signed some top players including Benzema, Kante, Koulibaly, Edouard Mendy, Marcelo Brozovic and Roberto Firmino.

Ruben Neves and Jota have also moved to the Middle Eastern country.

Tottenham Hotspur star Heung-min Son recently revealed he turned down an offer from the Pro League as he wants to play in the Premier League.
