Juventus are reportedly looking into the possibility of signing Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema this summer.
That’s according to a bombshell story in Tuttosport which claims that the Old Lady could move for the Frenchman before the upcoming season, at the behest of Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ronaldo has personally asked the Juve hierarchy to look into landing Benzema, with the pair striking up a formidable partnership during Ronaldo’s nine-year stint at Santiago Bernabèu.
With Gonzalo Higuain having had his contract terminated by the Old Lady, the Serie A champions do have space for a centre forward and apparently see Benzema as the perfect figurehead for their attack.
Real Madrid though, would be reticent to lose Benzema, who was arguably their best player during 2019/20.
With a contract until 2022 as well, Los Blancos are in no need to sell their top goalscorer.
And with Benzema reportedly in no hurry to leave the Spanish capital, it seems that this move would be incredibly unlikely right now.
