Paul Pogba has given a subtle hint over his future at Manchester United amidst admiration for Cristiano Ronaldo

Speaking after the UEFA Champions League game against Atalanta (h/t The Metro), Paul Pogba revealed that he loves playing at Manchester United and enjoys sharing the pitch with Cristiano Ronaldo, thereby dropping a hint about his future.

The 28-year-old star remains the club-record signing for United as his £89million fee is yet to be broken by the Old Trafford outfit. However, he is yet to achieve some major silverware with his boyhood club and has failed over the last five years to guide them to a league title or even deep into the Champions League.

He now has a little over six months on his current deal with the Red Devils, and talks over a contract extension are said to have progressed ‘slowly’. Thus, a resolution will have to be met sooner rather than later over his future.

His agent, Mino Raiola, also advised the Manchester-based outfit to negotiate with the club in 2020 itself but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer have decided to keep him. Although there have been indicators of an exit, the Frenchman has now dropped a hint over his future.

After completing the comeback against Atalanta recently, the midfielder revealed that he loves playing at United and enjoys playing in the same team as Cristiano Ronaldo. The Frenchman told reporters after the game (h/t The Metro):

‘I enjoy playing at Manchester United. Cristiano is special, he’s one of the best in the world. I love playing with him.’

The Portuguese international has a great track of winning things everywhere he goes, and he has shown since he has arrived that the unthinkable is possible and that he can convert draws into victories.

This could be an influencing factor for Pogba to stay with the 13-time Premier League champions. However, with Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, and Juventus weighing up a move for the 28-year-old, it remains to be seen where the midfielder plays his football next season.
