Cristiana Girelli has officially been nominated for the 2025 Ballon d'Or.

The prestigious nomination speaks to her outstanding contribution to Italian and international football over the last year. The Juventus Women’s First Team’s No.10, and leader of the Italian national team, is recognised as one of the 30 best players in the world right now.

Thanks to a brilliant season filled with key goals that led Juventus to win the Serie A Women title and the Italian Cup, Cristiana finds herself on a very prestigious list of names.

With this nomination, Cristiana enters the history books as the first Juventus Women’s First Team player to be shortlisted for the Ballon d’Or.

The list of nominated players also includes former Bianconera forward Sofia Cantore, again a testament to the excellent season carried out by Massimiliano Canzi's team.
