Inter Milan coach Cristian Chivu commented that Marcus Thuram “has to give the best of what he has.”

“Because he’s a top player, with plenty of experience. I’m pleased to have linked up with him here.”

“And that he’s made himself available to the group,” Chivu added. “And therefore, he’ll play from the start.”

Meanwhile, Chivu stressed that Inter “have to be strong mentally” to withstand the heat in Charlotte.

“You have to accept that you’ll have to suffer,” he continued.

“That you’ll be out of breath. Your legs will struggle, and your mind will get foggy.”

“That’s what I experienced when I played in these temperatures,” Chivu said. “And you have to be ready mentally to accept the fact that even when you’re already putting a lot in, you have to give more.”

Then, Chivu called Fluminense “a strong team.”

“We’ve analyzed them” the Inter coach added.

“But the important thing is what we do. How we start the match, understanding the match, and being able to fix issues when we need to.”
