A few days before the start of the Copa por México pre-season tournament, Chivas have ruled out Cristian Calderón due to injury.
Chicote, who was not a recurring starter with Luis Fernando Tena in the 2020 Clausura, has not been training with Chivas due to muscular discomfort and a scan has revealed a small tear.

Uriel Antuna will likely miss their pre-season duel with Atlas due to muscular overload.
Prior to the beginning of the 2020 Apertura (24 July), Chivas will face Atlas on Saturday, Tigres next Wednesday (8 July), and Mazatlán FC next Saturday (11 July).
In the meantime, the Estadio Akron has received the approval of the health authorities to host the Group A matches.
