West Ham United welcomed Manchester City at the London Stadium earlier this evening as they focused on securing a good result in front of their home supporters. The Hammers made a poor start to the game and conceded a penalty when their substitute goalkeeper, Alphonse Areola brought Erling Haaland down. The Norwegian striker went on to score from the penalty spot as David Moyes’ men went into the half-time break 1-0 down on the scoreline.

The East London outfit were chasing the game in the second half and conceded their second goal in the 65th minute when Haaland broke away and scored again with a clinical finish. The contest ended with West Ham suffering a poor 2-0 loss at home.
