Cremonese claimed their first win of the Serie A season on Tuesday as they shocked Roma.

Davide Ballardini’s side had previously beaten the Giallorossi in the Coppa Italia and now they have repeated the feat in Serie A.

It is their first win in the top division and their opening of the campaign – coming at the 24th time of asking.

Frank Tsadjout opened the scoring for the hosts in the first half with a stunning effort but that was cancelled out late on by Leandro Spinazzola.

But the home side restored their lead with seven minutes remaining as Daniel Ciofani netted from the spot to clinch a famous win.
