He is tasked with building a squad that can avoid the drop having just been promoted as the second-placed team in Serie B last season.

They appear to have wrapped up the loan signing of Romanian goalkeeper Andrei Radu from Inter who is leaving to try and get some regular first-team football, having made just two appearances last season for Inter.

“Radu will arrive in Cremona today for his medical.”

Another player on the books at Inter that Cremonese could find themselves using next season is French midfielder Lucien Agoume.

He spent last season on loan at Stade Brest and was an important player. Ariedo Braida says he could be a good option.

“Agoumé? It could be a good solution, but we will see.”
