Paris Saint-Germain star Achraf Hakimi has set his sights firmly on a move back to Spain, with Real Madrid.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who have provided a fresh insight into the plans of the explosive right-back.

Hakimi, for his part, is set to bid farewell to his closest friend in Paris this coming summer, upon Kylian Mbappé departing for the bright lights of the Santiago Bernabéu.

And the Moroccan, it would appear, already has one eye on a reunion with his PSG teammate in Madrid.

Ahead of the expiration of his contract at the Parc des Princes in the summer of 2026, Hakimi is said to be keen to secure an exit in a little over 12 months’ time.

With the defender having little intention of renewing his terms with Luis Enrique’s side, as much would mark the final opportunity for the PSG brass to recoup a reasonable fee for his services.

And Hakimi has already decided on his preferred destination, in the form of the aforementioned Real.

MD confirm that ‘the full-back would be crazy to return to the capital of Spain’, with Hakimi even ready to sacrifice from a financial standpoint to push any potential move forward.

Having spent the early years of his fledgling career learning his trade with Los Blancos, the 25-year-old is well aware of what is required to succeed at one of world football’s biggest clubs.

Not only that, but, significantly, Carlo Ancelotti is said to be a long-time admirer of Hakimi’s talents.

With the transfer team at the Bernabéu expected to prioritise the addition of a new right-back in the very near future, Hakimi, in turn, could yet have his Real Madrid-shaped wish granted in the summer of 2025.
