Jamie Carragher and Craig Bellamy have been looking at the clubs who they think will get Champions League qualification.

Craig Bellamy and Jamie Carragher naming the clubs who will finish top five in Premier League, on the assumption that Liverpool and Arsenal will take two of the five Champions League places.
Jamie Carragher speaking on Sky Sports – 7 April 2025:
“Looking at the fixtures, Newcastle United have still got a game in hand against Crystal Palace [on Wednesday 16 April], so a game you would expect them, on paper, to win.
“I think Nottingham Forest will just do it.
“I think Chelsea will miss out because they have got the toughest fixtures.
“I think Newcastle United will make it and Manchester City will just make it as well.
“I look at Manchester City’s last four fixtures and you’d expect them to win all four of them, despite the troubles they have had this season.
“I think Aston Villa will miss out.
“So for me, Nottingham Forest, Newcastle United and Manchester City will make it.”

Craig Bellamy also speaking on Sky Sports – 7 April 2025:
“Newcastle United, on what we have seen tonight and also the momentum of winning their first cup in numerous years. I have got a feeling for Newcastle.
“Manchester City are usually in the hunt to win the league, so it’s not uncommon for them to be at this pressure stage at this stage of the season.
“I have got a funny feeling about Aston Villa in the Champions League [this season], I really do.
“I felt it in September.
“The manager’s experience at this level of the tournament and they way they’re organised. I felt that of all the British teams, Aston Villa are the one to watch out for, because of the manager, and they have real quality.
“We all have a soft spot for Forest.
“I grew up in the eighties with Brian Clough and Forest is a special club for all of us and because of that man [Clough], it would be a great story for them [to qualify for the Champions League].
