Coventry United midfielder Destiney Toussaint has joined FA Women’s National League Northern Premier Division club Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Wolves announced details of their latest summer signing via a post on their official club Twitter account this afternoon.

Toussaint has a wealth of experience in the English game with the vast majority having been gained playing in the second tier. The 33-year-old has turned out for six different clubs prior to her move to latest club Wolves, those being Leicester City, Coventry United (twice), Oxford United, Aston Villa, London Bees and Birmingham City.

The midfielder joined Coventry United on a full-time deal last summer. Toussaint made 15 appearances for The Red and Greens in the Barclays Women’s Championship in 2021/2022, helping the club to complete an escape from relegation to the FA Women’s National League on the final day of the campaign. Toussaint was a second half substitute for Coventry United in their historic 1-0 win over Watford at Vicarage Road on the final day of last season.

Toussaint has joined a Wolverhampton Wanderers side who were cruelly denied promotion to the elite game last season. Wolves won the FA Women’s National League Northern Premier Division but were defeated 1-0 by Southampton in the FA Women’s National League Championship Play-Off Final.
