Coventry City will face Peterborough United in their next league game of the EFL Championship on Saturday. Coventry City sit in fourth position and are level on points with Fulham & West Brom. They will look to capitalise on this opportunity to move further up the table into the top three.

Coventry City have had an impressive start to the season so far. They have won five games out of the eight they have played so far. They have been unbeaten in the last three games winning seven points out of the possible nine. A win in their previous match would have seen them climb to the second spot on the table but they were held to a draw by Millwall.

The above viz shows us the shot map for Gyokeres. The shot map includes goals scored as well as shots saved by the opposition keeper. We can see that so far in the eight games Gyokeres has had 13 shots on target.

Peterborough United only won their second game against Birmingham City in the previous gameweek. Before that, they lost four consecutive matches and are in the bottom three of the table. Peterborough poor run had reminded them how tough the step up from League One is, but their performance against Birmingham showed their true potential. It was their best performance so far in the league and will look to continue the momentum.

Peterborough were clinical with their finishing which was their strongest point in the game. Peterborough scored their first goal when Birmingham defender Dean got the final touch past his own goalkeeper Matija Sarkic from Siriki Dembele’s cross inside 60 seconds. They scored their second goal from a penalty and the third was scored by a cool finish from Jorge Grant. Grant also attempted the most number of smart passes for his team and he also had a high expected threat from these passes.

Peterborough are yet to find their feet and are slowly getting used to life in the Championship. They have shown how they can perform when they are calm and composed on the ball. The win against Birmingham will definitely help boost the confidence of the players going into the weekend. Coventry on the other hand have started strong and want to maintain the momentum they have gained due to this strong start. They will want to achieve all three points from this fixture to keep pressure on the three teams above them on the table.
