Mourning: A minute’s silence for Frank Mill

At the beginning of August, Rot-Weiss Essen and Borussia Dortmund will remember former international Frank Mill, whose career began on Hafenstraße. This will include a minute’s silence before kick-off and a black armband, which will be worn by both teams in commemoration.

Travel: A40 closed The A40 in the direction of Duisburg will be completely closed from Monday onwards. The route between Wattenscheid-West and Essen-Zentrum will be affected, meaning that BVB fans on their way to the game will also be affected. The game will be shown live on the free TV channel Das Erste. Pre-match coverage will start at 20:15 CEST. Alex Schlüter will be hosting the programme, along with pundit Bastian Schweinsteiger. Christina Graf (below) will be commentating. In addition to the television coverage, there will also be a free live stream of the game. The streaming service Sky will be showing the game from 20:30 CEST. As usual, the BVB Net Radio will be reporting from the Black & Yellow perspective. The reporters will be Stephan Gabele and Boris Rupert. The BVB Net Radio's coverage will start 15 minutes before kick-off, and is available to all via the BVB homepage and in the BVB app for iPhone and Android. The weather forecast for Monday is 13 hours of sunshine with temperatures of up to 28 degrees Celsius, which should sink to 22 degrees by kick-off. The chance of rain is reported to be zero.

Shirts: BVB with a new home shirt

Borussia Dortmund will be playing in their new yellow home shirts which were introduced for the beginning of the season, black shorts and yellow socks (secure a home shirt now!) Essen will be playing in red and white shirts, white shorts and white socks.
