According to Het Nieuwsblad, Sporting have had an offer of around €15m rejected by Anderlecht for defender Zeno Debast. With bonuses attached, the final fee could settle in the region of €18-20m. It is likely that Anderlecht will have to sell Debast this summer, given that his contract expires in 2025 and the 20-year-old is of interest to plenty of other sides.

Sporting may well have an opportunity to increase their offer over the summer. Former Coventry forward Viktor Gyökeres has been in scintillating form for the Portuguese side who look set to win the countries top flight, with a four point lead over rivals Benfica and a game in hand. The Swedish forward has scored 22 goals for the side in the league this season. This has led to both Arsenal and Chelsea hoping to sign the forward in the summer, with figures being mentioned in the region of €100m. Such a sale would certainly open up the possibility for Sporting to increase their offer and win the race to sign Debast in the upcoming transfer window.
