AC Milan are keeping dialogue open with Udinese about Lazar Samardzic but they are currently in no rush to close the deal, a report claims.

According to Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews), the Milan management consider Samardzic to be a very useful potential addition to the midfield department, a more creative presence who can play either as a mezzala or as a playmaker.

However, we are not talking about a negotiation that can be finalised in the next few days because there are several details to be resolved, but the pursuit is ‘more alive than ever, concrete and possible’.

This confidence is above all because of the fact that the player wants the move: he made it clear in the meeting that took place with his father-agent and Milan, and he also made it explicit to Udinese, without doing anything that might cause a rift with a club he feels very attached to.

For their part, however, Udinese have reiterated that they have no need to sell Samardzic, even if things could change in the face of an offer that fully satisfies the demands of the Friulian club, which is €25m.

They do not seem willing to accept counterparts, so Milan’s strategy at the moment is to see if their demands lessen during the final month of the mercato.
