Brahim Diaz has been at Milan since the summer of 2020 and his spell at the club could come to an end in the summer. The playmaker has asked the Rossoneri and Real Madrid to decide the future, a report claims.

The Spaniard has impressed this season and has been a key player for the Rossoneri especially in the Champions League. And with this in mind, he also wants to know what his future will be, as Corriere Dello Sport reports (via MilanNews).

That’s why Milan and Real Madrid are set to meet earlier than perhaps expected to discuss the situation. There is a gentleman’s agreement of a €22m buy-out clause, with a €27m buy-back in favour of the Bernabeu side, but the Rossoneri don’t intend to exercise it.

Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are more than willing to keep the No.10, but they want to pay less. If the rumours stating that Real Madrid want Diaz back are true, then it will be hard for Milan to keep the playmaker. But that depends on many factors, such as the future of Carlo Ancelotti.

Arsenal have also expressed their interest in Diaz, per the report, and it’s safe to say that the future is uncertain indeed. And that’s exactly why the playmaker has asked the clubs to decide the matter.
