The headlines continue to be dominated by Francesco Camarda after he became the youngest Serie A debutant of all time during Saturday night’s win over Fiorentina.
This morning’s edition of Corriere dello Sport (via PianetaMilan) talked about Camarda, who made his first senior appearance for his boyhood club Milan at 15 years and 260 days old, thus becoming a record-breaker.
Yesterday was the calm after the storm as the striker trained again at Milanello and brought pastries to his team-mates, accompanied by his mother, father and his dog. With Olivier Giroud still out due to suspension against Frosinone, it is possible that he will be on the bench at the weekend again.
Tomorrow evening, however, he will not be available for the game against Borussia Dortmund. The first thing playing against him is that he is banned for one game by UEFA as he was sent off during the win over PSG after scoring a beautiful bicycle kick goa.
UEFA, in the Champions League, only admits players from the age of 16 onwards who already have a professional contract which Camarda does not yet possess. It will therefore not be possible for him to make his debut in the top European competition until March 2024.
