AC Milan will only be able to sign Davide Frattesi from Sassuolo this summer if it is on loan with a right to buy, a report claims.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport today (via Pianeta Milan), the Rossoneri are still in the market to sign a new midfielder but they are not able to spend a large sum of money.

One of the higher-quality targets is Frattesi from Sassuolo but Milan will only make that deal happen if the Neroverdi agree to loan him for one season with Milan then buying him next summer for a fee of around €30 million.

That would make it similar to the deals that brought Sandro Tonali and Fikayo Tomori to the club from Brescia and Chelsea respectively.

Sassuolo are less keen on losing the Italian as they were earlier in the window because they have sold Gianluca Scamacca and could soon sell Giacomo Raspadori as well.
