In addition to a manager, AC Milan are evaluating several sporting directors for their expected management revolution. Two names in particular have caught the interest of the Rossoneri, according to a report.
Since the sacking of Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara, Geoffrey Moncada has been the technical director of the club. Antonio D’Ottavio was also promoted to sporting director, but reports earlier this season suggested that he has stepped down after disagreements with his colleagues.
As such, a new sporting director – and above all a more prominent one – is needed for next season. Several names have been linked with Milan in recent days and according to Corriere della Sera this morning (via MilanNews), Fabio Paratici (formerly of Juventus) and Igli Tare (formerly of Lazio) are the main candidates.
Andrea Berta, who left his position at Atletico Madrid in January, is no longer a hot name for Milan as he seemingly has an agreement with another club already. There are probably a few more names in the running as well, but for now the aforementioned duo are the most likely ones.
Tare was linked with the club way before his departure from Lazio (summer of 2023) and it would certainly be an interesting hire for the Rossoneri.
