Interest from AC Milan may have been exploited by Dinamo Zagreb in order to start an auction for Dani Olmo, a report claims.

Dinamo boss Nenad Bjelica confirmed that Olmo will not be risked during their Saturday friendly as ‘a transfer is being discussed’.

Meanwhile, Croatians source 24sata stated that almost everything is agreed between Milan and Dinamo for the deal to take place, but his agent’s €7.5m commission requests could delay the whole deal.

According to il Corriere della Sera – as cited by MilanNews.it – Dinamo know that Olmo has no intention of renewing his contract which will expire on 30 June 2021.

The winger is asking for a move in order to try and cement a place in the Spain squad for the upcoming European Championships, and Milan would be a welcome destination.

Although Zvonomir Boban thinks highly of the the player, no deals have been entered into. Purchases of €25million are not possible without prior sales for the Rossoneri due to Financial Fair Play.

The widespread feeling at Casa Milan is that Dinamo used interest from Milan in the media to trigger an auction in Europe. Interestingly, Sportske claim Wolves have offered €25m for Olmo, adding that Leicester, Tottenham, Barcelona and RB Leipzig are also in the running.
