Coronel goes to New York on loan

Carlos Miguel Coronel has gone on loan from FC Red Bull Salzburg to New York Red Bulls and has signed a loan deal until the end of 2021.

Our 24-year-old Brazilian goalkeeper is under contract until 2023. He joined our Red Bulls in summer 2015 and began as a co-operation player at FC Liefering (making 67 appearances). In 2019 Coronel played for six months for Philadelphia Union (making 12 appearances) in Major League Soccer, the league he is rejoining. The Brazilian has made 11 competitive appearances for our Red Bulls already, including in the UEFA Champions League against SSC Napoli and KRC Genk.
