Inter will surely sign a new forward next summer to replace Marko Arnautovic and Joaquin Correa and were recently offered Yuri Alberto, whom they liked in the past. The youngster is keen on returning to Europe after an unfortunate spell at Zenit that got cut short because of the war in Ukraine, CNN Brasil reports (via Calciomercato).

The speedster is now at Corinthians, which he joined for free in January 2023. He has posted 60 goals and 18 assists in 157 matches with them. The Nerazzurri considered him especially when he could have transferred gratis thanks to a FIFA clause. However, they didn’t push to put him under contract medal, and he headed back to his home country.

The agent of Yuri Alberto is in Europe to shop his client around and touched base with Inter. His price tag is roughly €25M, R7 Esportes informs (via Tuttomercatoweb). West Ham, Wolverhampton, and Southampton are interested but consider his valuation excessive. Ajax and a couple of Spanish teams are after him too.

The 24-year-old makes €3.4M annually. He had his lone cap with Brazil in March 2023. He starred for International and Santos before transferring to Russia, where he scored 6 times and dished 4 helpers in 15 games.

Our Take on Inter and Yuri Alberto

The Nerazzurri will surely need an injection of youthful energy upfront and might take multiple stabs in the role since they have gotten very little from their backups this year. However, they might prefer mid-sized investments like the Luka Sucic one and perhaps prioritize signing somebody more familiar with Serie A or European football. They require surefire contributor and not a project or a gamble.
