Though world football is on hold for the foreseeable future, some players are still, unfortunately, picking up long-term injuries in training.

Bayern’s Corentin Tolisso suffered an ankle injury about two weeks ago in training but his injury is much more serious than originally thought.

“On Tuesday, Corentin Tolisso successfully underwent surgery by Dr Johannes Gabel in Murnau to repair the outer ligaments of his left ankle. Tolisso will start rehab in about four weeks.”

Bild journalist Christian Falk has reported that the 25-year-old will likely be out of training for six-to-eight weeks.

Tolisso has been the subject of many transfer rumours as Bayern have been reportedly open to letting him leave this summer, meaning it’s possible he’s played his last match for the Bavarians.
