The second legs of the Coppa Italia semi-finals will go straight to penalties after the rules were officially changed on Wednesday.
Extra-time will not be played in either of the semi-finals or the final.
The Italian FA have confirmed that the rule changes will take place until the end of this season only and are not considered permanent at this stage.
There will be no away goals rule considered in the tie so the game will be decided by a penalty shootout if the tie is level after the final 90 minutes.
Juventus meet AC Milan on Friday with the score 1-1 from the first game, with Napoli holding a 1-0 lead over Inter Milan ahead of their second clash on Sunday.
The final will take place at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome on Wednesday.
