Italy’s Euro 2020 triumph is to be the subject of a fly-on-the-wall documentary to be broadcast on Italian national television later this week.
The Azzurri lifted the trophy after beating England on penalties on Sunday night, and it’s fair to say Roberto Mancini’s side won lots of admirers for their brilliant performances throughout the tournament.
A clip from the upcoming documentary has now leaked on TikTok. In it, Mancini can be seen revealing the starting line-up to his players, and he jokes that the injured Leonardo Spinazzola would be playing.
Mancini then goes on to say to the players: “I’ve nothing to say. You know who you are. We are not here by accident. We are the owner of our destiny, not the opponent, not the referee.”
His short but sweet team talk clearly did the trick, and it looks like this film could be a must-watch for Italian speakers.
