FC Red Bull Salzburg and Dorgeles Nene have agreed on a contract extension, with the 21-year-old from Mali signing a new deal running to 30 June 2028.
The speedy attacker joined us in January 2021 and began as a co-operation player at FC Liefering. In the 2021/22 season, Nene spent six months on loan at SV Ried (17 appearances, two goals and three assists), before going on loan for the 2023/24 season to Belgian club Westerloo (36 matches, 13 goals and four assists).
Since the start of the current season, the international from Mali has been a permanent part of our Red Bulls' squad, making nine appearances in which he has scored four goals and contributed two assists.
Dorgeles Nene has continually developed over recent years and worked his way up. His performances last season were impressive, and we are pleased that we will continue our path together with a contract extension being arranged.
Bernhard Seonbuchner
I am very pleased that FC Red Bull Salzburg have placed their faith in me and that I have been able to repay that in the current season. It has not always been easy, and I took a long route to where I am now. My aim is now to win titles and for us to show on the European stage just what we are capable of.
