The teenager was additionally an used substitute on 11 occasions for the Manchester City first-team last season, and has been at the Etihad Stadium since 2017.

The 2005-born midfielder also made 12 Premier League 2 appearances and five UEFA Youth League showings for Manchester City’s Elite Development Squad during the 2023/24 campaign, and was involved in the squad that travelled to the FIFA Club World Cup.

Following the completion of a season-long loan move to the Weston Homes Stadium, here is everything you need to know about that transfer!

What are the terms of the Mahamadou Susoho to Peterborough United transfer?

According to the information of MailSport’s Jack Gaughan, the teenager has completed a season-long loan move to the League One side, with the transfer not including an option to make the deal permanent.

What have Manchester City said about the transfer?

Manchester City said in a club statement, “Mahamadou Susoho will spend the 2024/25 season on loan at Peterborough United…”

“Everyone at Manchester City wishes Mahamadou the very best of luck during his spell with Peterborough.”

What has Mahamadou Susoho said upon joining Peterborough United?

Mahamadou Susoho said, “I want to get out of my comfort zone and I feel this loan move will allow me to do that.

“I would describe myself as good in possession, calm and someone who can help the defence and the attack. I really enjoyed the tour in America with City and now I am looking forward to this loan move.”

Have have Peterborough United reacted to the transfer deal?

Peterborough United manager, Darren Ferguson said, “I am delighted to get him. It was tied up a while ago, but we were just waiting on Manchester City in terms of the dates. He was either going to join us or go on tour with City and that is what he did.

“I think he is a big signing for us, he is a really good player as you would expect. We have a very good relationship with Manchester City, so there were other clubs in for him, but we met, I presented how we play and how we see him fitting in and to be fair, after that he agreed to come.

“He is going to add to our options in the middle of the pitch, we felt we needed a bit more depth in there. We have now got five because Donay O’Brien-Brady has really stepped up. Ryan De Havilland is injured for a period of time so I think when we lost Jeando Fuchs in the summer, we knew we had to add to that part of the pitch.

“We felt we needed a bit of strength in there, to compete with Archie Collins and Hector Kyprianou and without question, he will compete with those two. The boy is a good player.”

We wish Mahamadou Susoho all the very best on his season-long loan move to Peterborough United for the forthcoming season!
