Manchester City midfielder Kian Breckin has completed a season-long loan move to Crewe Alexandra.
The 20-year-old is the latest City Football Academy star to be sent out on loan for the 2024/25 campaign, joining League Two outfit Crewe Alexandra on a season-long loan.
Breckin, who is the son of former Nottingham Forest and Chesterfield defender Ian Breckin, could make his debut for Crewe on Tuesday evening, when the Railwaymen face Rotherham in the first round of the Carabao Cup.
The midfielder has previously spent time at Wycombe Wanderers, and has helped Manchester City’s EDS to back-to-back Premier League 2 title success.
Breckin made nine appearances during a loan spell at Adams Park before being recalled by Manchester City bosses last season, and becomes Crewe’s ninth signing of the summer transfer window.
Here is everything you need to know about the 20-year-old’s move to the Mornflake Stadium!
Breckin has completed a straight season-long switch to Crewe for the 2024/25 campaign, with the League Two club having no option to make the deal permanent.
A statement on the Crewe Alexandra website, said: “Crewe Alexandra are delighted to announce the loan signing of Manchester City midfielder Kian Breckin.
“Everybody at Crewe Alexandra would like to welcome Kian and wish him all the best during his time in South Cheshire.”
We wish Kian Breckin all the very best on his season-long loan move to Crewe Alexandra for the forthcoming campaign!
