Contract length revealed as Liverpool close on late January signing
Anfield Watch
Liverpool have surprised many of their supporters at the end of this window with a late move for Luis Diaz, with the Porto player set to complete a transfer to the club over this weekend.
The Reds were tipped to have a quiet market where they would not sign anyone but it became clear that with the likes of Spurs and Manchester United circling around him, the time was right to act.
That is what they have done, then, and Pedro Sepulveda on Twitter has revealed the contract he will sign will run until 2027.
This looks an exciting signing for Liverpool.
It's rather come out of the blue but it is certainly nice to see the Reds acting at the end of the market.
Clearly, he is a talented player and it'll be interesting to see how he does in red.
