Italian transfer reporter and Sky employee Fabrizio Romano has said that Liverpool are still working on a deal to try and sign Ibrahima Konate in the summer transfer window.
The Reds have had an up and down season and in the last week we saw them huff and puff against Real Madrid but fail to blow the house down.
Indeed, the only aim now is to finish in the top four and then add to the squad in the summer to make it more robust after a campaign plagued by injuries.
Defensively speaking, further additions are needed and it looks as though Konate’s name won’t be going away any time soon.
Taking to Twitter, Romano offered this update:

Ibrahima Konate is a powerful defender who is still at the very start of his career and so you can see why the Reds may well be interested in getting a deal for him done.
Whether they do or not, though, remains to be seen with Red Bull Leipzig naturally battling hard to try and keep him or at least get as good a deal as they can for him.
