Man City have drawn at home to Chelsea in the league this season but recently won 1-0 away, while Arsenal edged Aston Villa 2-1 in their one meeting so far this term.
Arsenal won the Conti Cup for the sixth time last season, defeating Chelsea 3-1 in front of over 19,000 at Selhurst Park. Chelsea’s two wins came in 2020 and 2021 , before also losing 3-1 to Manchester City, who lifted the trophy for a fourth occasion the following year.
Aston Villa’s last major final was the FA WNL Cup in 2013, when they were winners over Leeds United after a penalty shoot-out.
The Conti Cup final will be played at Wolverhampton Wanderers FC on Sunday 31 March 2024, kick-off 3pm and broadcast live on the BBC.
