The draw for the semi-finals of this season’s competition took place live on BBC News’ SportsDay programme this evening. Former England international defender Abbie McManus was tasked with conducting the draw.
Manchester City had been well-overdue a home tie in the knockout stages of a domestic cup competition and they have finally got one. The Cityzens have been drawn at home to title rivals Chelsea.
The other semi-final tie will see either London City Lionesses or Arsenal play host to Aston Villa. London City Lionesses were due to play The Gunners in the quarter-finals on Wednesday but the game was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch at Princes Park and it will now take place next week.
The two semi-final ties are scheduled to take place on 6-7 March 2024. Final dates, kick-off times and broadcast details will be announced in due course.
This season’s FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup final will be staged at Molineux, home of Wolverhampton Wanderers FC, on Sunday 31 March 2024. Tickets are on-sale now and can be purchased by clicking here.
