Celtic have confirmed that goalkeeper Conor Hazard has joined Plymouth Argyle, ending a nine-year association with the football club.

Signing for Celtic at a 16-year-old in 2014, Hazard was a consistently impressive figure throughout the Hoops youth teams, earning his first appearance with the first-team in the summer of 2017 on the pre-season tour of Austria.

Loan spells followed at Falkirk, Partick Thistle and Dundee to provide regular first-team football, and it was at the end of his first temporary spell at Falkirk in 2018 that he earned the first of his four caps for Northern Ireland.

Hazard made his first competitive start for Celtic in December 2020 in a Europa League group stage victory over Lille at Celtic Park.

That was quickly followed with a start in the delayed Scottish Cup final just 10 days later as the Celts looked to claim a historic quadruple treble.

A 3-3 draw with Hearts after 120 minutes took the game to penalties and Hazard was the hero, stopping two kicks to write his name into the history books at Paradise.

He would make five appearances in total that season before going on loan to HJK Helsinki where he won the club’s Player of the Year award.

Everyone at Celtic Football Club wishes Conor success in his future career.
