Confirmed: Valencia star signs new contract | OneFootball

La Liga outfit Valencia have announced that a key member of the club’s midfield ranks has put pen to paper on a new contract with the club.

The player in question? Javi Guerra.

The name of youngster Guerra had of course emerged as an altogether prominent one in the Spanish media headlines across the summer to date.

This came amid the understanding that a number of leading European clubs, chiefly AC Milan, were expressing a keen interest in the 22-year-old’s signature.

A crucial member of Carlos Corberán’s engine room setup at Mestalla, news of as much in turn no doubt marked a major source of concern for the Valencia faithful.

As alluded to above, though, those of a Los Che persuasion need not fret.

This comes amid confirmation that, following intense recent negotiations, Guerra has this weekend signed a new four-year contract in Valencia:

‘Valencia CF have reached an agreement for the extension of Javi Guerra’s contract for the next four seasons, through to June 2029.’
